Being together, helping each other and doing a common cause - such cooperation strengthens the society. This was stated by Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus during a meeting with rescuers. Cooperation between the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the Ministry of Emergency Situations officially began in 2021. Then a document on cooperation was signed. During the meeting, the rescuers and representatives of the clergy were presented with commemorative awards. Two civilians were also honored: a teacher of a school in the capital, Sergei Antonievich, who helped in evacuating students and extinguishing the fire, as well as a medical worker of Belaruskali Lyudmila Klezovich. She was the first to help the injured miners.
