More than 250 observers from the CIS and Shanghai Cooperation Organization missions are monitoring the early voting.

Tomorrow, on February 25, will be the decisive day for them, as well as for all of us. Today is the time to summarize the interim results. During the month of preparation and conduct of early voting no violations have been detected, concluded Sergei Lebedev at a meeting in the CIS Executive Committee with his colleague, head of the SCO Observer Mission Nurlan Ermekbayev. The latter, in turn, emphasized the importance of the work of international observers and pointed to the main thing - impartiality and professionalism.

Nurlan Yermekbayev, Head of the SCO Observer Mission:

“The mission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization works in accordance with the principles and provisions established by its state members. The principles of this mission are political neutrality, objectivity, non-interference in the internal affairs of the state where the elections are held, and the exclusion of any extraneous influence or pressure both from the state bodies of third states and from the head of the mission - he cannot influence the members of the observer mission. All assessments are made on the basis of personal observations, conclusions and facts first and foremost.”

Mission members actively exchange experience. In doing so, one of their tasks is to prevent any external pressure or influence.
