Belarusian MPs adopted the bill on amnesty for the 70th anniversary of the Victory. The amnesty will release more than 8,000 prisoners.
Igor Shunevich, Belarusian Minister of Interior: "The amnesty does not extend to crimes related to illegal drug trafficking and sex crimes against minors."
Deputies will consider the bills on improving the system of the prosecution and on alternative service. In addition, the ratification of international treaties in the field of defense, protection of classified information and mutual legal assistance in criminal cases will be addressed. MPs also plan to make changes and additions to the law on the main directions of domestic and foreign policy of our country.
