"We have a peaceful flag, we have a peaceful coat of arms. We do not include weapons, tanks or any aggressive animals in our flag. We have a peaceful anthem with the first line "We, Belarusians are peaceful people." This reflects our essence. It reflects our philosophy. And it once again shows that the state and the people, who have repeatedly survived heavy invasions of intervention, occupation, and in the First World War in the last century, and the Great Patriotic War. The state was practically destroyed, wiped off the face of the earth. A third of the population was killed. It's being reborn. And our people at the genetic level definitely do not want there to be a war somewhere. We are peaceful people and we do everything to keep peace on our land and in our neighbors."
