These are parchments and books of the period of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Russian Empire. The repositories contain priceless funds of famous families and dynasties – the Radziwills, the Sobieski, and the Lubomyrs. Also, the archive is engaged in the publication of facsimiles and collections of old documents.

The funds of the Historical Archive are in high demand. Every day, the institution accepts over 200 applications for documents. The archives are regularly monitored by technical and physicochemical monitoring. The preservation of documents is conducted under strict temperature and sanitary control.
