Naryshkin: Special services of CIS states ready to protect their citizens from radicalism of West

The special services of the CIS countries are ready to protect their citizens from the radicalism of the West, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin said after the 19th Meeting of the heads of security and intelligence services of the CIS member states. According to Sergey Naryshkin, Washington and its allies analyze the development of global processes in the world and realize that the ground is gradually slipping from under their feet, they are losing their position. To try to preserve it, they are interested in destabilizing the situation in various countries.

The main attention of the Western bloc countries is drawn to the post-Soviet space, said Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service. "Organizations, primarily special services of Western countries, use all kinds of methods, including scenarios of color revolutions. They use the introduction of radical ideologies. And incitement of conflicts on the basis of ethno-cultural and religious differences," he pointed out.

The memorandum adopted at the end of the meeting gave a positive assessment of the work of the format of the meeting of heads of security agencies and intelligence services of the CIS member states on intelligence activities. It reflects the intention of the parties to use the available potential to improve the forms, methods and deepening of cooperation in ensuring the security of the Commonwealth.
