N. Kochanova: Citizens' health has always been and remains a priority of social policy in Belarus

The health of citizens has always been and remains a priority of the state's social policy. Natalia Kochanova said this during the opening of the second congress of the Eurasian Arrhythmological Association and the 8th Congress of Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons and X-ray Endovascular Surgeons of Belarus. According to the Speaker of the Upper House, the healthcare system in our country is developing quite effectively. With state support, new facilities are being built and existing ones are being modernized. So, next year the construction of the most powerful building of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Cardiology" will be completed. And a new transplantation building of the Minsk Scientific and Research Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology will open in the near future. There are plans to build a new building for cardiac surgery in the Minsk Regional Hospital.

The forum was attended by specialists from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Canada, France, Italy. 1200 people took part in it. The President of Belarus also sent greetings to the delegates of the Congress. The reports were prepared by doctors of medical sciences on modern tactics for the treatment of atrial fibrillation, prevention of sudden cardiac death, increasing the effectiveness of treatment of chronic heart failure, including surgery during the Covid-19 pandemic.
