Vaccine against COVID-19, treatment of severe pneumonia and other diseases are under the President's control. Monitoring of medical institutions continues. The day before, the head of state visited the 4th Hospital in Minsk, canceling the scheduled meetings. The focus is on equipping hospitals with everything they need. The country has developed a good system for combating coronavirus, and it is important to keep it. Simple human support for those who are sick is equally important. The President was personally interested in whether there are enough resources to treat patients.

In the first wave of the epidemic, the 4th Hospital was re-profiled for the fight against coronavirus: 70% of its patients are with COVID. Nevertheless, the profile reception continues. And this is one of the President's demands, not to forget about people with other diseases.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "You have to understand that besides COVID patients there are plenty of others: cardiovascular, diabetics, and oncology. Therefore, you are doing the right thing to assist in other directions."

Belarus can start producing its vaccine against coronavirus if the developments of our scientists turn out to be considerable, said Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting with the hospital staff. The country is also considering the possibility of producing a Russian vaccine and purchasing it for risk groups.
