President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko gave advice to Vladimir Zelensky in an interview with foreign and Belarusian media and warned him against repeating the sad experience of Gorbachev and Yeltsin, who were also applauded and greeted with "hurray" in the West, BelTA informs.

While addressing the representatives of the Western media, the President suggested them to "work with Zelensky" and to give him a piece of good advice: "Do not give up on Europe, America. They still supported him and he owes it to them. But you have to turn a little bit East and take a more independent pragmatic position for the benefit of the Ukrainian people and the future of Ukraine."

"I am not going to dwell into details, because it will take a long time. A lot depends on the Ukrainian side today. I don’t think that everything depends on Zelensky (he has already lost a lot, but not everything yet)," the Belarusian leader noted.

The President, in particular, mentioned Vladimir Zelensky's recent trips to Western Europe, where he was applauded and greeted with "hurrah." And remember: Mikhail Gorbachev - "Gorby! Gorby!" Yeltsin in America, they applauded and laughed at the same time. And those leaders, who were applauded and cheered in the West, ended up in a bad way. Have you ever thought, Steve, that this could happen to the President of Ukraine as well? Think about it," Alexander Lukashenko addressed the BBC correspondent.
