The main film awards of the season have been presented. The closing credits of the 29th Minsk International Film Festival appeared on the screen of the House of Cinema.
There were 77 films competing with each other. The culmination of the evening - the Grand Prix is going to Russia. The drama "The Tailor from Brooklyn" lasts 75 minutes. The award was received by director Evgeny Serov.
"To remind people that there is something human in us is very important," said the director of the film, winner of the Grand Prix of the film festival "Listapad" Evgeny Serov.
The Special Prize of the President of Belarus "For Humanism and Spirituality in Cinema" is also in the hands of Russian director Anna Chernakova. Her melodrama "Katya-Katya" participated in the competition of films for children "Listapadzik". But there she did not receive the main prize from the jury, but only a diploma for the best children's part. Now the special prize of the President will give her an opportunity to launch this movie in the Belarusian distribution.
The prize for the best movie of the animated film contest goes to Iran. Of non-fiction films, the first one is the film directed by Nikolai Burlyae. This is a visual story about Andrei Tarkovsky.
