They wrote the history of Belarus with their dance, told it on all continents. Contrary to the beaten canons they started a new era of folk dance. The legend of the nation, the dance company "Khoroshki" is 50 years old.
They were born in Mogilev under the name "Vesnyanka". Valentina Gayevaya, born in Russia, penetrated the Belarusian folklore, retold it with mini-performances and was invited as a ballet master to the Belgorod Philharmonic. That's how "Khoroshki" appeared in January 1974. They were the first to revive the native Belarusian history under the live performance of their own orchestra based on author's choreography and 7 thousand sets of hand-made costumes. In the 80s and 90s they performed tours from Vladivostok to America.
