The most representative observation mission at the elections in Belarus was a team of experts from the Commonwealth countries.

Sergei Lebedev, head of the CIS observer mission:

We traveled all over the republic, 235 people from almost all the Commonwealth countries. At all the polling stations I visited, music is playing, amateur and professional artists are performing, buffets are working, and the mood of the voters, as we see, is festive. Fortunately, this tradition of making a holiday out of elections has been preserved throughout the CIS. No irregularities in the voting were detected either by local observers or by ours. And we sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts, wish our brothers-Belarusians that the elections will lead to a peaceful, stable, prosperous life in Belarus.

Independent experts from Germany, Switzerland, France, Poland came to our country to observe the course of the single day of voting. For some of them it is their first visit to Belarus. Their assessments and impressions are very positive. Foreign experts note the high level of organization and compliance with the standards of democratic elections.

Krzysztof Tolwiński, independent international observer (Poland):

“It is important to note the security measures related to the organization of the elections. The protection of both commission members and voters is at a high level.”
