18.5 billion kWh of power will be generated annually since the launch of the second power unit of BelNPP. This was stated by Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich in an exclusive interview with the program "Main Air.
According to him, 18.5 billion kWh is about 40% of the country's needs, which will ensure annual replacement of natural gas and reduce dependence on carbon fuel by almost 4.5 billion cubic meters.
In addition to savings, it will contribute to improving the climate, said the head of the department. The annual reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere will be at least 7 million tons.
