How scientific experiments in space were made, and whether it is possible to take a cell phone with you

The country got acquainted with Marina Vasilevskaya, then a possible participant of the space flight from Belarus, in December 2022. She nonchalantly passed the centrifuge. This is the most difficult test. A person is pressed by a mass 4 or 8 times bigger than his body.

The first citizen of the Republic of Belarus in space will be a woman. This was the idea of the President. When the space mission was over, Alexander Lukashenko admitted that the responsibility was cosmic.

Let's go back to the time of preparation for the flight. "The first time I saw her and talked to her more specifically in November 2022 during the interview with a group of girls who were selected to go to the Cosmonaut Training Center. When I invited her to the interview room, she says to me, 'I don't know if I will be in the main crew or an understudy, but the fact that I will be in the project, this I know for sure,'" said Ivan Bucha, deputy head of the Aerospace Activities Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Marina Vasilevskaya, cosmonaut, Hero of Belarus:

"These are very important experiments, for example, on "Lactoferrin", "Proxybiotic". The purpose of these works is to produce a product that will be useful in the space sphere for astronauts. Something that will maintain the level of human microbiome, that is, of course, it's all science. We have seven target works, three are joint Russian-Belarusian, also Belarusian works of our scientists. We have done everything according to our program and we have done it well. There are the results of these studies, the bacteria on "Lactoferrin" arrived alive. We even tasted them, they are tasty, so I am madly happy.

Another task of the cosmonaut was to take pictures from space. Of course, many are interested in how it happened.

Marina Vasilevskaya said that a lot of equipment is installed on the station. In the radiogram it was written, which device the girl should take, what the settings are. "At a certain time, for example, we fly over the Republic of Belarus. And there are literally 1-2 minutes that allow you to take a photo or video of the earth's surface. Of course, it is insanely interesting, but, unfortunately, there is such weather now, especially in spring and fall, when there is a lot of cloudiness. I saw Belovezhskaya Pushcha, of course, and we photographed it. I hope that we will get more good pictures, as we have been experimenting with the hurricane. This is with the use of VSS and SOVA equipment," the cosmonaut shared.

Marina Vasilevskaya did not take her phone with her: "You can't take your phone, and there is no need for it. You will not be able to use it there in terms of the Internet. You can take photos and videos with good, very high quality equipment."
