During the meeting of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko with the Belarusian Union of Journalists, the topic of increasing the attractiveness of life in the countryside was touched upon, BELTA reports.

Inga Stankevich, a mother with many children, who lives in the village and is now on maternity leave, thanked Alexander Lukashenko for the state-level support of large families. She shared her experience of holding various family contests for families, which help to unite parents and children even more, pass on traditions and family values.

Alexander Lukashenko, as a person who was born in the village, considers it important to love the land and work on it, to have one's own piece of land.

"It is an important trait of the president if he can get down to earth from high diplomatic tribunes. But it is necessary to know it - earthly," the head of state noted.

The President drew attention to the timely decision made at the state level on the possibility of buying abandoned houses in villages for minimal funds, so that these plots could get a new life.

"Bring your children there, let them walk barefoot on the ground. A person is different when he walks barefoot on the ground, on the grass. This is good for human health," he said. - I wish there were more people like that, who are eager to live in the village."

The head of state also drew attention to the fact that a lot of people from other countries come to Belarus now.
