Potato Fest takes place in Minsk Region

The farmers of the Minsk Region are invited to the Potato Fest today. The festival-fair was hosted for the first time by the agro-town Dashenka of Uzdensky District. The local school houses the only potato museum in the country. It is no coincidence that the main heroes of the holiday are the schoolchildren themselves. And among the guests there are many farmers, scientists and simply buffs of dishes from the “second bread.” The beloved agricultural culture was immortalized in bronze. A memorial sign to potatoes was opened in the agro-town. These days they are actively harvesting potatoes. In total, the country's farmers plan to dig up almost 6 million tons of the  second bread.
