Boris Johnson - the most violent opponent of the truce? What game did he start with Ukraine and the European Union?

26 июня 2022
Who troubles the waters in difficult relationships on the continent? The United States and Britain have done much to provoke conflict in Ukraine. Oddly enough, such an assessment was made in Japan by the deputy of the upper house of the Japanese parliament, Muneo Suzuki.

The politician urged his country not to dance to the tune of America and Britain, who imagined themselves to be the world's policemen. Foggy Albion, for example, is not stingy with its provocative statements and today, incidentally, is the fiercest opponent of the armistice in Europe.

Boris Johnson went to Kiev twice in one month, and each time, after his visit, the air of negotiation evaporated. The UK is also at the forefront of deliveries of weapons and platforms to Ukraine.

What game is Boris Johnson playing, not only with Ukraine, but also with the European Union, and why is everything that is happening extremely beneficial in the first place to the UK? Learn more from the feature of Ekaterina Tikhomirova.

The celebrity comedian of the Ukrainian government can rightfully be called the most expensive psychotherapist in history. Every time a failure occurs in the political career of the British Prime Minister, he either calls or miraculously materializes in the Bankovaya neighborhood. After all, isn't it a wonderful reason to get away from an unpleasant meeting with the British political elite, who have gathered to save the citizens of the north of the kingdom from an unprecedented drop in living standards through tax cuts. But then how can you help Ukraine? However, the "north of England" will have to wait. And while they were waiting for Johnson in Yorkshire, the dashing Cossack Borya Chuprin, like a jack-in-the-box, materialized in the heart of independence.

I should remind you that another landing party was launched there a little earlier: Scholz, Macron, Draghi and Johannis. They have, by all accounts, brought to Kiev the long-awaited prospect of EU membership, in return for a truce with Russia. Say, it is useless to resist, you need to save what is left. But, alas, Boris Johnson arrived unexpectedly, bringing word from our boy: to fight to the last Ukrainian capable of holding, if not a machine gun, then at least a shovel (Kuleba had promised that if the West did not give weapons, the era of shovel resistance would begin).

Boris Pinkus, Republican leader for New York's 45th congressional district:

Boris Johnson's visit to Kiev speaks volumes. First, he caused a stir in the Western world. A boom associated with the intention of Boris Johnson's proposal to create a new alliance consisting of the UK, Ukraine and the Baltic countries and approved even by the White House, which does not object to the creation of such a new alliance. All this, of course, affects the actions taken by the leaders of the left-liberal Western European countries, Draghi, Macron and Scholz.

Britain's undeclared war against Western Europe for dominance and influence on the continent began with the Brexit process. It stirred and still stirs the fantasies of the Baltics and Poland of a mini-NATO, a mini-EU at the global level, led, of course, by the UK. Let's add AUKUS with the USA and Australia. Perhaps even Johnson's ambitions see London at the level of a declining America. In fact, his rhetoric today even surpasses that of Biden. As for the economic sanctions that everyone suffers from, this is an additional bonus, since the degradation of the economic power of the EU will put Western Europe in even greater bondage.

Nicolas Baveret, French politician:

Differences still persist over the aims of the conflict. The dispute is between supporters of sanctions against Russia and supporters of "peace right now." The British-backed countries of Eastern Europe and the Baltics set out to defeat Russia in order to prevent it from committing further aggression. Western European countries - France, Germany and Italy - are rumored to be in favor of a diplomatic solution to the conflict through negotiations with Moscow on a territorial compromise.

As soon as Johnson's foot crossed the threshold of his native Albion, only General Sanders, who had slipped into his army boots, turned out more outspoken.

"I am the first Chief of the General Staff since 1941 to take command of an army in a land war in Europe involving a continental power," the freshly minted Chief of the British General Staff began his address to the army.

Sanders, Chief of the General Staff of the British Army:

Now there is an urgent need to create an army that will be able to fight alongside our allies and defeat Russia in battle. We are the generation that must prepare the army to fight again in Europe.

Yet, Sanders got the smallest army in British history - it had previously been reduced to 73,000 men. In other words, this means that in addition to the burden of Brexit, the pandemic and anti-Russian sanctions, the increase in the size of the army and its equipment will also fall on the shoulders of the British. One could not lead the Baltic States and the ambitious Poland into battle with 148 tanks, without a single tracked vehicle to support the infantry - which is what Sanders inherited.

Richard Dannat, former Chief of the General Staff:

We need to take this seriously in the context of the long war that Boris Johnson is talking about. We must increase our spending and make sure the nation is ready - we will all have to pay some expenses.

And Johnson is now only raising the stakes in the Ukrainian crisis, yes, bringing Ukrainians to the altar of sacrifice, for the sake of a new European world order, where the political (and financial center) will shift from Western Europe straight to London. This is indeed the best time for the concept of great British power. This is a year-old document "Global Britain in a Competitive Age: the Integrated Review of Security, Defence, Development and Foreign Policy" about foreign and defence strategy for the next 30 years.  From the point of view of the British leadership, the main threat is China and Russia. Even then, London outlined sanctions and military pressure against its opponents. Another area of no less key importance for the foreign policy is the European Union. By 2030, the document says, the island power itself will become "a problem-solving and burden-sharing country on a global scale," which, by the way, Brussels is no longer capable of doing due to its lack of liberality, and the number of British nuclear warheads should increase to 260, the military being present in all parts of the world.

In other words, it is Albion that is going to take the role of prima in the current dramatic play. The result of the British party of the game of thrones is not only the final destruction of Russia, but also the economic collapse of the European Union. In the end, winter is really coming, and the sled is still not prepared to this day.
