Belarus and Venezuela interested in cooperation in tourism sector

Belarus and Venezuela are interested in cooperation in tourism, BELTA reports with reference to the National Tourism Agency.

A meeting of the Belarusian-Venezuelan working group on cooperation in tourism was held. The Belarusian part of the working group was headed by Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism Oleg Andreychik, while the Venezuelan part was headed by Deputy Minister of International Tourism, President of the tour operator VENETUR of the Ministry of International Tourism Leticia Gomez. The meeting was also attended by representatives of Belarusian and Venezuelan tour operators.

The talks were held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The parties confirmed their interest in further development of cooperation in tourism. The participants of the meeting exchanged information on the current state of affairs in the tourism sector of the two countries, revealed the interest of Belarusian tourists in visiting Venezuela, including the resort island of Margarita, Caracas and other attractions, and Venezuelan tourists in visiting Belarus. They are interested in Minsk, national parks, and health resorts. The issue of mutual interest of Venezuelan and Belarusian tourists in visiting both countries as part of combined tours was also discussed.
