1030th anniversary of Orthodoxy in Belarus to celebrated in Zaslavl on large scale

Only hours are left  before the beginning of the Divine Liturgy in the Transfiguration Church in Zaslavl.

One of the most ancient towns of Belarus will become the center of a large-scale celebration of the 1030th anniversary of Orthodoxy in our land. Today, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, who baptized Russia. He carried out his spiritual mission with the help of his sons. He sent Izyaslav to Polotsk and Svyatopolk to Turov. It was there that the first dioceses in the Belarusian lands arose.
