Pakistani Lollywood becomes closer to Belarus

The first festival of Pakistani cinema opened in Minsk. The premiere in the cinema house "Centralny" was attended by the Minister of Information, Communications and National Heritage of the Islamic Republic. The senator welcomed the Belarusian public and expressed hope for close cooperation in the field of cinematography between the two countries. The opening film "Roy Bean" ("No tears") was released in Pakistani multiplex in 2015, a month before the show in the Belarusian capital.

The picture has already received high praise from critics. For the citizens of Minsk it is demonstrated with English and Russian subtitles.

Pervez Rashid, the Minister of Information, Communication and National Heritage of Pakistan: "We produce all kinds of films including melodramas, documentaries and animated films. Now, we are reviving the film industry in Pakistan. We are now seeking to collaborate with many filmmakers around the world, we would be happy to cooperate with Belarusian filmmakers. "
