World's best cinema presented in Minsk

The best examples of world cinema are presented in Minsk. Competitive and non-competition screenings are preceded by meetings with masters and legends of cinema. The names of the first winners are already known.


The films are screened not only in cinemas, but also in libraries. One of the oldest libraries in Minsk- the Pushkin library- today presented Idiot by Dostoevsky in the author's interpretation of a Frenchman who grew up in Moscow- Pierre Leon.


Listapad is a rare case when the author's cinema overshadows the movies for everyone. This year Belarus saw movies from the programs of Venice, Berlin and Cannes.


The Central cinema has become today a discussion platform for movie people. Directors, screenwriters, film critics were deciding on the future of the Belarusian art-house. In the evening the results of the National Competition were summed up.


Among the winners is Yuri Gorulev with his The lost cause.


The results of the main competition of feature films will be announced at the closing ceremony of the forum. Online voting names the film I won't come back as the winner of the festival.
