Responsibility, discipline, diligence and commitment. The four most important positions noted by the Head of State at the meeting on Thursday are in fact the formula for the success of the authorities. The focus is on people's interests and economic sustainability. This conversation brought together virtually the entire leadership of the country.

Belarus will fight for every patient; those who have recovered are our golden fund and the hope for the others to recover. 

Obviously, the whole vertical of power is now helping medicine. The main thing is not to panic and not to paralyze the economy. In Belarus, the usual way of life has not been changed.

All this is done in order to minimize losses in the first place: to feed the people, to preserve the work teams and at the same time to build a clear system in the fight against the coronavirus. And now some of our neighbors and partners are trying to borrow this model. 

Even in these difficult conditions, Belarus has given people jobs. However, the GDP growth rate for the first quarter did not reach the forecast. Mobilization of all structures and resources will ensure sustainable economic performance.

The sectors most affected by the global epidemiological situation will be supported. Specific measures are defined by the presidential decree. Local authorities can reduce property taxes. Other measures are envisaged for sustainable economic performance and job preservation.
