The updated law on counteracting monopolistic activity and development of competition will come into force in Belarus on August, 3. Particular attention is paid to enterprises with significant market share in their segment. There should be no artificial overpricing for buyers and understatement of raw materials for suppliers. The cost of production and the prices of goods in other regions of Belarus or neighboring countries are taken into account.
Depending on the type of a violation, the controlling agency will determine the time frame for its elimination. The investigation itself will take up to three months on average.
