Land reclamation and development strategy of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation became the main topics of the meeting at the Palace of Independence. "Things go not as planned," said the President about BNBC. The corporation is facing the issue of utilization of the plant's capacity and sales of finished products, which negatively affects the financial performance. The BNBC is engaged in deep processing of grain to create high-yield compound feeds and premixes necessary for livestock breeding. The project is an image project for the country, so the President requires a clear algorithm from the government to eliminate deficiencies.
"It has been a year since the grand opening of a unique large-scale production facility - BNBC. At one time, and even now, we are proud of this production facility. All the conditions were created for the start of its work. And we agreed to support this project in every possible way," reminded Alexander Lukashenko.
However, according to the head of state, things are not quite as planned at the enterprise.
"The State Control Committee, which has been instructed to seriously review the situation at BNBC, reports: there are significant deficiencies and problems with the plant's capacity utilization and sales of finished products," said the President.
