First excavation for extraction of potash ore takes place on Garlyk plant

The first excavations for the extraction of potash ore take place on the Garlyk plant in Turkmenistan. Belarusian miners are working at the depth of 300 meters. It provides access to the minerals. The mining machinery and lifting equipment have been sunk in the mine for the first ore. This event is a good gift to the Miner's Day, which is celebrated on the last Sunday of August. Seven months are left till the plant will be put into operation at its full capacity. It will produce up to half a million tons of potash per year.
