The year 2023 was very productive for Belarusians. Its economy grew faster than the world trends. The Belarusian industry showed a record of 12%. When the world was hit by another wave of inflation, Belarus calmly survived such storms. The year 2024 will also be successful for us. Recently, The Economist confirmed this thesis by publishing a preliminary assessment of the dynamics of the global economy for 2023 - the average growth rate amounted to about 3%.
At the same time, the Belarusian economy grew at an acceleration of 3.5%, and the rate of industrial production in Belarus in 2023 became a record - 12%. No other country has ever shown such high rates of industrial production.
Note, that when the whole world was fighting inflationary waves in the past year, Belarus was able to ensure stability of prices and keep them within normal limits. According to government estimates, inflation in Belarus will amount to about 5.5% by the end of 2023.
