"The ministers substantively discussed the whole palette of topical issues on both bilateral and multilateral agendas. Particular attention was paid to increasing mutual trade, food security and cooperation projects," the Foreign Ministry press service said.

The heads of the foreign ministries defined a plan of interaction and multilevel contacts for the near future. They agreed to hold a meeting of the Belarusian-Indian intergovernmental commission for cooperation in trade, economy, industry, science, technology and culture in Minsk.

In terms of multilateral issues, the parties dwelt in detail on cooperation in the EAEU, BRICS, SCO and the UN.

The Parties reaffirmed their mutual aspiration for a more equitable world order and discussed the prospects of creating their own payment system in the BRICS. Sergei Aleinik emphasized that India was the first country to ratify the memorandum on Belarus' commitments to obtain membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

"Regional security issues, including the conflict in Ukraine, were discussed separately. The ministers noted the convergence of the positions of Belarus and India on the need to find diplomatic ways to resolve the current conflicts as soon as possible," noted the ministry.
