President makes pays attention to effectiveness of agricultural sector and development of Vitebsk Region

Alexander Lukashenko instructed to analyze the problems of the agrarian sphere of the northern region. The President instructed to propose solutions that will help the existing integration structures in the region work efficiently. That concerns not only the agricultural sector of the region, but the people who work here as well. The Head of the State assessed the situation from the helicopter in the first place. Positive changes in management on the land of Vitebsk Region were noted. The work of agro-industrial associations in the region was discussed. Agricultural holdings were established in the region 4 years ago. The Head of the State signed the 70th decree in February, which provides for the creation of 7 agricultural associations. The focus is made on the agricultural processing company and producers of grain, milk, and meat. Local executives told the President about the peculiarities of organizing the process on farms.

The Head of the State emphasized that support and money would be allocated for promising projects and directions in the conversation during his visit to OJSC «Moloko». “If there is a result – the company will get the money.” The President approved the decision to create integration structures in the region. "We can revive Vitebsk Region in 5 years," he said. 

Rudakovo enterprise, which the President is visiting today, is managed by OJSC «Moloko». This is the largest producer, where about 20% of milk of Vitebsk Region is processed. The production capacities of the enterprise were partly used in recent years, lacking raw materials. This problem is common for all processors in Vitebsk Region. The situation is better now. The creation of agro-industrial associations will help solve this problem and contribute to more efficient work. 

The work of the integration structure is a backbone for the entire chain, which solves financial issues and supports unprofitable farms. This experience of Vitebsk Region will be useful for other regions!
