50 years ago first loads of oil went through the Gomel section of the pipeline Druzhba. Today it provides transit of Russian and Kazakh oil to Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, the supply of Russian and Belarusian oil to Mozyr, as well as the transportation of Belarusian oil exports. Last year more than 60 million tons of oil was pumped through this section. This is almost a third of all oil export from Russian Federation. In honor of the anniversary the company took out a capsule with a message for future generations from oilmen of the 20th century and laid a new one.
Now the company carries out large-scale modernization. As a result it will transport not only oil, but also processed products - gasoline and diesel fuel.
