In the Belgorod Region several people were killed in the shelling by the AFU. This was reported by the head of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in the Telegram channel, writes RIA Novosti.
He specified that the Ukrainian military fired at several communities in the region at once.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled a section of the road in the village of Maslova Pristan in the Shebekinsky district. Fragments of shells hit passing cars. Two women were riding in one of them and they died from their injuries on the spot. In the second car there are two casualties," wrote the governor.
According to him, one male victim has shrapnel wounds to the chest, the second has shrapnel wounds to the lower extremities. In serious condition they were taken to the city hospital № 2, where the men are provided with all necessary medical care.
The Ukrainian military fired 11 shells on the village of Tishanka of Volokonovskiy District. No one was injured. Glasses were broken in two private houses, and the central gas pipeline and power line were damaged. Emergency services work on the site of the shelling.
"There were no casualties as a result of the shelling of Leonovka farmstead in Valuisky District, there is damage to the facade of an agricultural enterprise's granary. A door-to-door patrol of the territory continues," Gladkov added.
The Ukrainian military regularly shells the Belgorod Region and other Russian border territories, conducts drone strikes and carries out diversions. For example, the city of Shebekino came under heavy attack on the night of June 1, and massive shelling continued during the day. People were fleeing the town and its outskirts. Since midnight on Thursday, 11 civilians in the area suffered from shelling.
