Vandals in their maniacal idea to destroy all Soviet history are ready for anything. An attack on the tents of the defenders of the Soviet Army monument took place in the capital of Bulgaria. The attack took place this night. Unidentified masked men first threw firecrackers at the tent, and then broke a granite slab of the monument and painted its foot. Police detained four people, no injuries were reported.
The monument, erected in 1954, is planned to be dismantled in March. To prevent this, the monument is guarded around the clock by volunteers from various political and public associations.
