The representative of the anti-Islamic movement tried to hold an action with the burning of the holy book of Muslims, but he was prevented by demonstrators - the angry crowd pounced on the one who desecrated the shrine. The police intervened. The opponents of the action were rigidly detained with the use of special means.
However, the Netherlands should have followed the path of more civilized Denmark. There, at the end of last year, they passed a law banning the improper handling of sacred scriptures. Such acts can now be punishable by up to two years' of imprisonment.
