The West continues to inflame the situation at our borders. Lithuania has launched one of the largest military exercises. Maneuvers "Perkunas Thunder" will last until May 10. The Lithuanian army and government agencies are practicing the transition from peacetime to wartime. The defense headquarters noted that more than 10,000 people have been called up for service. American and German brigades (over 5,000 military personnel) will also take part in the exercise. 400 units of military equipment will be used.
Lithuania and Poland are deploying exercises for the defense of the Suwałki Corridor. The section is located between our territory and the Kaliningrad Region of Russia. In addition to the national forces, contingents from the United States and Portugal (up to 2,000 military personnel) are involved in the maneuvers.
