In Georgia protests do not subside because of the law on foreign agents

Protests over the law on foreign agents do not subside in the capital of Georgia. On the eve, the protesters blocked the Freedom Square. The car traffic was paralyzed. Disgruntled drivers honked loudly. Police set up cordons outside the government house.

Women's marches took place in different cities of Georgia like following some guide book. The organizers of a number of protests in the country are large student organizations (just among those to whom the new law guarantees the status of foreign agents). Most of the country's social movements are financed either by the European Union or the United States. Under the new law, such structures must publicly recognize the fact that they are engaged in political activity at someone else's expense and in someone else's interests.
