A group of politicians who were returning from a congress in Moscow were detained at Chisinau airport for several hours. Upon arrival, they were unable to leave the arrival area allegedly because of some glitch in the program. More than a hundred people were left for several hours without water, food or the possibility of going to the toilet. It even came to the use of force.
The chairman of the "Sor" party, which is banned in Moldova, has already called the incident lawlessness and reported that several detainees required medical assistance. The victims of the arbitrary actions of the authorities are members of the electoral bloc "Victory", which plans to campaign for voting against Moldova's accession to the European Union. The activists are also going to advocate for Moldova's participation in the unification processes in the CIS.
