The number of wounded in the Ukrainian troops during the counteroffensive is colossal, the military are being taken to medical stations in a "constant stream", RIA Novosti writes with reference to the New York Times.
"Temporary medical posts are receiving a constant stream of soldiers wounded in the course of combat operations. Their number is colossal," Ukrainian medics said in a statement.
They also say they are now recording few gunshot wounds, with many being brought in after being wounded by mines.
