Serbian President announces Belgrade's willingness to maintain partnership and friendly relations with Russia

The incumbent Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has won in the first round of presidential elections. For Vucic this is his second victory in the first round. The Serbian leader stated Belgrade's willingness to maintain partnership and friendly relations with Russia. According to preliminary results of the simultaneously held parliamentary elections, Vucic's coalition "Together We Can Everything" will receive 122 seats in the 250-seat parliament.

In his congratulatory message, Alexander Lukashenko expressed hope for the preservation of the traditional mutually beneficial Belarusian-Serbian cooperation, despite the enormous pressure, which is felt today by both Minsk and Belgrade.
