The statistics of cargo transportation through Latvian ports has been published. Everywhere we can see a sharp decline in volumes: the fall in turnover of the port of Riga - 10%, Ventspils - 26%, Liepaja - 1.5%.
Such deterioration was a consequence of Latvia's economic relations with Belarus and Russia. According to experts, the ports of the Baltic Republic may simply close down if the authorities continue to adhere to the current strategy.
