Venice manages to avoid catastrophe

Venice was hit by the elements. Heavy rains and strong winds caused flooding in the popular resorts of Chioggia and Sottomarina. Streets and buildings were flooded there.  High tide (up to 170 centimeters) threatened the historic part of Venice.  But the catastrophe was avoided. The system of protective barriers "Moses" came to action.
