Hot spots of 2023: Where conflicts erupted and what they led to

31 декабря 2023

Biden and Trump in the coming year very much want to take on a great mission - to be the monopolists in the world politics. It should be said that this task is no longer possible. In fact, the US presidents are competing except in falling ratings, which invariably collapse time after time.

If you ever feel like you're in the wrong business, just remember that the U.S. spent four presidents, trillions of dollars, thousands of lives, and 20 years to change the Taliban in Afghanistan.

And how many more wars are financed by the US around the world? Therefore, security issues come to the forefront and become almost a key topic for all states. Belarus has managed to preserve peace on its land. Alexander Lukashenko has repeatedly stated that we have already exhausted our limit for wars.

Therefore, we are engaged in the economy, but we do not lose sight of the global situation. It is better to learn from other people's mistakes. The modernization of the army is taking into account the experience of modern conflicts.

The year 2023 turned out to be rich in regional conflicts that erupted in completely different parts of the planet. Hundreds of thousands of human lives were thrown on the altar of strategic superiority.

Explosive 2023 did not bypass the Middle East. The escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the phase of war. Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. The military operation was dubbed "Al-Aqsa Flood." In response to the attack, Tel Aviv launched its own - counter-terrorism - "Iron Swords". Since then, there have been incessant explosions, tens of thousands dead and a bloody scarlet sky lit up with fire. The day before, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the country is expanding its military operation in the Gaza Strip and will continue the war until Hamas is defeated. Both sides are ready to go to the end.

The Gaza Strip has been particularly vulnerable to the war - without water, electricity, food and medicine. Local residents are on the brink of survival, and the world is divided, with large-scale demonstrations in support of both Palestine and Israel shaking the planet.

It is worth noting that the situation in Israel was preceded by a serious domestic political crisis. Netanyahu's reforms led to mass protests, which came to naught only with the outbreak of war. A similar situation is unfolding in Poland today. The new Prime Minister Donald Tusk has launched a flurry of activity that in one way or another is directed against his political opponents.

Poland is divided into two irreconcilable camps. The first president of the country, Lech Walesa, is sure that there is a risk of a civil war.
