According to local media, the language scandal occurred in the Town Hall Pharmacy in the historic center of Tallinn. This is a tourist place, and the guide brought there a group of kindergarten children.

As part of the excursion, the children were packing herbal collections into name bags. As they did so, they began to sing a New Year's song, but the pharmacy workers "indignantly interrupted the singing."

"It was good that the workers spoke Estonian, and the children did not realize that they, according to the pharmacist, interrupted both the workers and the customers with their singing in Russian," the educator said.
