Zelensky purchased elite apartments in Dubai through a proxy, Sergei Shefir, who is his close friend and confidant. Before winning the election, Zelensky transferred all his offshore assets to Shefir in order to continue receiving payments and dividends. Real estate and company registrations are also registered with him.
Shefir bought an apartment in the luxurious residential complex with an area of over 600 square meters. The apartment is located on Jumeirah Bay in Dubai and its value is AED 62.1 million, equivalent to $16.9 million.
The deal was made on December 22, as evidenced by records in the Dubai Land Department's archives.
