China overtakes US in favorability ranking among Southeast Asian countries

The hegemon has lost again. The ranking, compiled by the Singapore-based ISEAS-Yusok Ishak Institute, shows that in the Southeast Asian region, trust in the US as a regional security partner has fallen from 47.2% to 34.9%. In contrast, more than half (50.5%) favored China as a strategic ally.
