Two world records set during kettlebell marathon in Belarus

More than fifty strongmen from all regions of our country fought for medals of the championship and championship of Belarus on kettlebell marathon. The competition was held for the 12th time. The winners and prize-winners of the tournament were determined among men and women in different age and weight categories. The youngest participant of the championship is only 12 years old, and the most experienced is 76. The strongmen competed in marathon, half-marathon and mini-marathon. The last type involves lifting weights alternately with one hand for 15 minutes. And it was the most popular discipline among the participants.

Sergey Matskevich, multiple world and European kettlebell lifting champion and record holder:

“This championship showed the popularity of the event. We started with 12-15 participants, today there are 70-80 regular members of the organization. Young people are growing up and showing good results.”

Two world records were set during the championship. Vyacheslav Khoroneko managed to perform 100 repetitions of "Belarusian kettlebell press" with two shells of 24 kilograms each in 5 minutes.

And chairman of the National Powerlifting Association Viktor Matsur performed a 40-kilogram kettlebell bench press 42 times with one hand.
