NOC of Belarus holds meeting on 50th anniversary of Munich Olympics.

The National Olympic Committee of Belarus held a meeting on the 50th anniversary of the Munich Olympics. It became one of the brightest for the Belarusian sport. President of the NOC Viktor Lukashenko talked to the heroes in a cozy atmosphere. Many famous Belarusians were on the Olympic podium of those events, and it was the 20th anniversary of the Games. In Munich Alexander Medved took his third Olympic gold. The great pass in the final of the USSR-USA basketball game is still remembered. It was made  by Grodno native Ivan Yedeshko and actually became  a gold one. Elena Belova, Antonina Koshel, Viktor Sidyak and other our athletes had great athletic success at those Games. 

The XX Munich Olympics ended on September 10, 1972. The USSR team won the first place in the team event.
