Aryna Sabalenka defeated Victoria Azarenka and reached the final of the WTA-500 tournament in Brisbane, Australia, with a prize fund of 1.7 million dollars, BELTA reports.
In today's Belarusian semifinal derby, Sabalenka won in two sets - 6:1, 6:4. The match lasted 1 hour and 29 minutes. In the first game, the world number two immediately seized the initiative, giving Azarenka only two games. The second set was more hard fought, but in the end Sabalenka still won and reached the final for the second time in a row.
Tomorrow in the deciding match Sabalenka will face Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina, who defeated Czech Linda Noskova 6-3, 6-2 in the first semifinal match.
