Belarusian tennis players have held the start-up match at the first Grand Slam tournament of the season - Australian Open. Aryna Sabalenka beat Russian Anna Kalinskaya 6:1, 6:4. Vera Lapko lost to Johanna Larsson - 5:7, with the score 0:3 in the second game, Lapko withdrew from the competition.
Then Aliaksandra Sasnovich left no chance to Belgian Kirsten Flipkens 6:1, 6:1. Two more of our athletes are declared in the main round of Australian Open - Victoria Azarenka and Ilya Ivashko.
