In less than 7 hours, the 23rd Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang will kick off. The grand opening ceremony is expected to attract 75,000 spectators. After the show, the parade of the participating countries will begin. These Games will be the first where the flag-bearers of their teams will be exclusively athletes. For Belarus, the freestyle skier Alla Tsuper will carry the national flag.
At 13.55, TV Channel Belarus 1 will broadcast the event live. Vladimir Novitsky and Alexander Dmitriev will work as commentators.
Also, yesterday, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres once again called on all parties to conflicts to observe the Olympic Truce during the Games.
