The duel between Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina for the semifinal stage of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) final tournament in Cancun, Mexico, was suspended in the second game due to rain, BELTA reports.
In the first set of the final match of the group Bacalar, the first racket of the planet won against the number 4 of the world ranking with the score 6:2. In the second game Rybakina seized the initiative and took a 5:3 lead, after which the meeting was stopped due to bad weather. It will be played again on November 4. In the first round, Aryna Sabalenka defeated Greece's Maria Sakkari (No. 9 in the WTA rankings) 6-0, 6-1.
After finishing the preliminary stage, the top two players from each group will continue their battle in the semifinals.
The final match will take place on November 5.
