Organizing Committee of Olympic Games 2024 about delegations of Belarus and Russia: They will be very small in number, but welcome guests in Paris

The Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games will be happy to welcome Belarusian and Russian athletes in Paris. This was stated by the head of the organizing committee of the Olympic Games 2024 Tony Estanguet, reports InsideTheGames.

The Organizing Committee of the Games supports and respects the recent decision of the International Olympic Committee to admit Belarusians and Russians in a neutral status. Tony Estange suggested that the delegations of Belarus and Russia "will be very small in number, but they will be welcome guests in Paris in 2024".

As BELTA was informed by the NOC of Belarus, that so far four Belarusian athletes have won Olympic licenses: Anastasia Shkurdai (swimming), Vanessa Kolodinskaya (women's wrestling), Abubakar Khaslakhanov (Greco-Roman wrestling), Evgeny Zolotoy (rowing). According to the IOC, the Russians now have 6 licenses, the names of their holders are not named.
